Our lab has received an award from the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Advanced Manufacturing Office (AMO). In collaboration with Prof. Murat Inalpolat, Prof. Alireza Amirkhizi and AvCarb Material Solutions, this project aims to manufacture fabric electrodes using a high-throughput screening platform for redox flow batteries.
Ceren and Ertan published a paper in collaboration with Marcos Vera and Pablo Angel Garcia-Salaberri from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid entitled “Modeling the Effect of Channel Tapering on the Pressure Drop and Flow Distribution Characteristics of Interdigitated Flow Fields in Redox Flow Batteries” in Processes.
Congratulations to Mahnaz Nourani for successfully defending her dissertation! Dr. Nourani, E2STL’s first PhD graduate, also received the Mechanical Engineering Outstanding Doctoral Student Award!!!
Ceren has successfully passed her candidacy examination by defending her thesis proposal, and has become a Ph.D. candidate. Congratulations to Ceren!!!
In Collaboration with Triton Systems and Cappillino Research Group at UMass Dartmouth, our lab has been awarded an SBIR grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to develop swelling-resistant membranes for non-aqueous redox flow batteries.
