Our lab is excited to share two new publications from our team in the Journal of The Electrochemical Society. Dan’s paper, “Design Considerations for Solid Charge Storage Materials in Redox-Mediated Flow Batteries,” provides a framework for designing solid boosters to increase flow-battery energy density. Shabdiki’s paper, “Leveraging Flow-Assisted Electrochemistry to Decarbonize Calcium Hydroxide Production in Cement Manufacturing,”demonstrates a flow-electrolysisContinue reading

We are happy to announce that Sergio and Ertan have published a study titled “Driving Change: Analyzing the Interplay of Electric Vehicle Adoption and Grid Electrification in New England“ in the journal Energy.
We are excited to share that Sergio has led the publication of two new papers: “The impact of energy storage on the reliability of wind and solar power in New England”& “The benefits of long-duration energy storage for New England’s energy system decarbonization goals.” Congrats to Sergio and the team for these significant contributions!
Our lab is happy to announce the publication of a new paper led by Shabdiki: “Investigating Manganese–Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries for Energy Storage and Subsequent Hydrogen Generation” This study explores dual-circuit RFBs as a novel approach to producing green hydrogen and addressing energy density challenges in conventional RFBs. Congratulations to Shabdiki and the team!
The E2STL team publishes their first paper on redox-targeting flow batteries with Cappillino Group in the Journal of Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage for the “Emerging Investigators in Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage 2022” special issue.
Ceren and Ertan published a paper in collaboration with Marcos Vera and Pablo Angel Garcia-Salaberri from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid entitled “Modeling the Effect of Channel Tapering on the Pressure Drop and Flow Distribution Characteristics of Interdigitated Flow Fields in Redox Flow Batteries” in Processes.
